News Feeds
I have collected a couple of dozen news feeds for you here. Mostly these are news feeds provided by prominent news organizations. All of the content in these news feeds belongs to the organizations providing the feeds. I provide them here as a service. I am not responsible for the content in these feeds.
These news feeds are a small sample of the vast array of news feeds that are available on the Internet. You can set up your own customized list of news feeds in the members area. These are just a few of the ones that interest me. If it's here, it's a pretty fair bet that I read through the feed at least once a day. I don't read every article, but I do read most of them.
This list of feeds is fairly static. I don't plan on making a lot of changes to it. I may find a really useful feed from time to time. If I do, I'll add it to this area. If a feed turns out to be broken, and stays that way, or if it gets loaded with malicious content I will remove it from this area. I don't expect to do that too often though.
How does this work?
News feeds are typically XML documents that comply with one of the common news feed specifications. The most popular specifications are RSS, RDF, and Atom. This site retrieves the feed XML and applies an XSL transformation to it to render it as HTML. I'm continually working on the XSL stylesheet to make sure that it can handle most of the feeds that are out there.
Just another reminder, I am not responsible for any of the content in these news feeds. These news feeds are supplied by other organizations and they are solely responsible for the content. If there is a problem with one of these feeds, please bring it to my attention by sending me e-mail at webmaster@perrinelson.com (Web Master). When I get the opportunity I will remove the feed or replace it with another one.
