For those we lost, We will not forget 09/11/2001 “Our God given unalienable rights are given to us all as individuals. They tell us what we may do for ourselves, and they are the embodiment of liberty. The so-called rights that government gives to some of us are parcelled out to select groups as classes. They tell us what one class of people may require another to do for them, and they are the very essence of slavery.”

Month-long challenge letter #2–To My Crush

Published Fri, Jun 3 2011 3:09 PM

Hey Teree,

I bet you never expected this letter (assuming you ever read it, one of the nice things about this challenge is we don’t have to actually send the letters). But I had a crush on you in high school. I always enjoyed talking to you, but I never really could get up the nerve to ask you out.

I know that in school we had vastly different values, and it wasn’t until long afterward that they even came close to converging. I don’t really have much to say – other than that things worked out for the best (for me at least, you’ve met my wife, and I’ll never give her up). Not only that, but with some of the twists in my life between then and now we’re far more likely to remain friends than if we ever had gone out.

All my best,

Perri

I love that Teree was mentioned in your first two posts. I'm glad that you seem not to have had a crush on anyone since being married. Good on you Perri.

I... have a crush on my Wonder Woman. She knows it. It gives her great power over me. But that's OK, cos she's up to dealing with the great responsibility that comes with great power.

Before her? Strange, all that stuff so pales in comparison so as to seem a lotta not-crushy.
