This Sunday, Lucas and I worked as parking attendants at Seafair, together with a few people from his young men's organization, the Black Diamond chapter of the Order of DeMolay. It was a long day helping people to get their cars parked. We arrived at the lot at about 6:50 AM, and we left at about 3:30 PM. We did get to take a short break for lunch and one of the benefits of volunteering was that we got free admission to the fair and to the pits for the hydroplane races.
I brought the video camera along just for that. I managed to capture a few of the hydroplanes on camera. The Navy's Blue Angels were also performing. I filmed some of that, and then handed the camera off to Lucas for a while, while I continued parking cars.
It was a long day, but we had a lot of fun. It was the first time I've ever been to Seafair, and I think it was worth the trip.
