“Our God given unalienable rights are given to us all as individuals. They tell us what me may do for ourselves, and they are the embodiment of liberty.
The so-called rights that government gives to some of us are parcelled out to select groups as classes. They tell us what one class of people may require another to do for them, and they are the very essence of slavery.”— Perri Nelson, February 9, 2010

Free money!

If you stay up late at night and watch television, I'm sure you've seen Matthew Lesko's commercials. One of his many books is entitled "Free Money to Pay Your Bills". This is just one of many books that Mr. Lesko has written on the topic of "free money".
I was raised to believe that "there ain't no such thing as a free lunch". Where do you think that all of that "free money" comes from? For close to $38, Mr. Lesko will tell you about over 4,000 government programs that "Everyone" qualifies for…
They must give free money away ... it's a law!
Even with today's budget cutting, free government money still will be giving away over $30 billion every month. These free money programs have been created for helping people pay bills:
- Get by during difficult times
- Get ahead of Bills
- Get health care money they need
- Raise their kids
... also pay bills for other things they need, from necessities like a car, housing or luxuries such as travel.
They "must" give free money away? Since when? $30,000,000,000.00 a MONTH? For "necessities" like a car? Mr. Lesko says that his "brand-new free money getting guide" provides you with ways for "getting Uncle Sam to open up his big, fat wallet."
Do you know how Uncle Sam's wallet got to be so big and fat in the first place? By taking money out of yours and mine, that's how.
Everybody needs help getting by during difficult times. It would be easier if the government wasn't taking money out of our wallets to give to someone else. Getting ahead of bills sometimes is tough, especially when you spend more money on things you don't really need than you can afford in the first place. Thank Matthew Lesko that the government is there to reward our foolish spending habits.
I thought we had a health-care crisis in this country. That's what the current Democratic candidates for President are telling us isn't it? But apparently the government is giving away "free money" for health care. If that's the case, why is it a crisis?
If you read my postings regularly, I'm sure by now that you know that I believe you get what you pay for. Did you know that the government WANTS higher unemployment and lower productivity?
They must. After all, another one of Matthew Lesko's books is titled "Free Money to Quit Your Job". This one lists over 15,000 programs worth $350,000,000,000.00. Why you can even get $150,000.00 to quit your job and become a grizzly bear tagger! I'm sure that ex-cheerleader turned grizzly bear DNA scientist Katherine Kendall (now looking at collecting bear slobber to measure grizzly diversity in Montana) could use the help!
The federal government has no business giving away free money, for these or any other purposes. Show me where in the Constitution it's authorized. That law (or those laws) that Mr. Lesko refers to are unconstitutional!
Let's put Mr. Lesko out of business. Vote for people that pledge to stop spending money on programs where it's not authorized. Vote for people that will stop taking money out of our wallets so they can wave it at us and say "look what I can give you!".
If someone picked your pocket on the street and then offered you back a part of the money, you'd call the cops. If they picked your pocket and then started passing the money out to bums swilling MD 20-20 in urine-soaked coats sitting on the steps in the park, you'd call the cops.
Why do we let Congress do it?
