Perri Nelson --
THIS IS YOUR "LINK" MESSAGE.
PLEASE FORWARD BELOW MESSAGE
TO YOUR FRIENDS IMMEDIATELY!
+ + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +
I have just taken action to stop the attacks on our Free Speech Rights, and I'm asking that you join with me by clicking here:

+ + Will The Fairness Doctrine Silence The Conservative Voice?
Will 2009 usher in a fanatical push to re-instate the so-called Fairness Doctrine? Such a move would effectively silence the conservative voice and remove the last conservative stronghold against a fast-moving liberal agenda.
Perri, One need only read the words of Dianne Feinstein to see the true threat to conservative speech that is brewing on the horizon!
"Talk radio tends to be one-sided. It also tends to be dwelling in hyperbole. It's explosive. It pushes people to, I think, extreme views without a lot of information ... I'm looking at the [Fairness Doctrine]... Unfortunately, talk radio is overwhelmingly one way."
Recognizing this threat, the Media Research Center has created the Free Speech Alliance which is a coalition of organizations and citizens strongly opposed to any such move to limit or
undermine our Free Speech Rights!
Please take a moment right now to join the hundreds of thousands of Americans who oppose the Fairness Doctrine and all that it stands for by clicking here:
http://www.mrcaction.org/517/petition.asp?PID=19248103&NID=1
Thanks for joining with me.
Mr. Perri Nelson
P.S. If the liberal voice in America has their way, the Fairness Doctrine will end conservative talk--including Rush, Sean, Laura, Mark, and a host of others. Take action today by clicking here:

David responded with: What conservatives?
 | "Will The Fairness Doctrine Silence The Conservative Voice?"
*heh*
There are so darned few real conservatives in existence in medialand and politics (heck, in the electorate as a whole!) that I'm semi-surprised eco-whackos haven't declared them an endangered/protected species. |
David responded with:
 | BTW, off-topic, have you seen this post at All Things Beautiful"? A take-off on the pseudo-conservative David Horowitz's call to drop the Obama Birth Certificate/Constitutional qualifications argument.
Money quote:
“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.’s children.”
Which means at the very least dual citizenship (as a Brit/American) which would ALSO be a disqualifier, Constitutionally, regardless any later (or other) impediments.
Horowitz's faux "conservative" stance is that we are a nation of mob rule and whatever the People say when they cast a ballot for a candidate goes, whether that candidate is qualified under the law to serve or not. Strange. I thought the Constitution defined a democratic (representative) republic designed to restrain excesses of "the will of the people"...
"Conservatives" like Horowitz are at least as big a part of the problem with politics today as leftists are. |
Layla responded with:
 | I was not planning to visit anyone. I am not in the mood for one, second that mood is because today is the 13th anniversary of my son who was Autistic - his death, which I put up on my blog. I do not even leave the house on the 22nd of December and today is the first time I sent my second Autistic child to school on the 22nd out of fear it would happen to him too.
But I wanted you to know I am not so selfish as to not want to wish you a very Merry Christmas. |
Stanford Matthews responded with:
 | Okay, I signed the petition. Do you really think that will help? I sign lots of petitions. Not sure what the win/loss record is.
And in case I don't make it back before 12/25, Merry Christmas Perri, and to all who read this. |
David responded with:
 | BTW, Merry Christmas, Perri.
:-) |
Angel responded with:
 | have a fabulous, blessed holiday my friend!:) |
Layla responded with:
 | Have a wonderfully snowy winter wonderland Christmas. Thank God we remember the real reason for the season, Jesus!
God bless you and your family my friend.

Marshall Art responded with:
 | Just stopped by to wish you a very Merry Christmas. I'll check out the other stuff later. |
Perri Nelson responded with:
 | Thanks for the well wishes all.
I think I ended up with one of the best Christmas presents I could hope for under the circumstances. I'm home and well. |
Marshall Art responded with:
 | OK. Finally got back to read the link and I signed the petition. I have no idea how much it helps to pass around petitions, but I have to believe it helps a bit more than doing nothing. One never knows how many calls, letters, email, petition signatures it will take to move a given politician. I like to think that it won't take too many, particularly if they are of the typical, power means everything type of liberal Democratic politicians of which there are too many. |
