For those we lost, We will not forget 09/11/2001 “Our God given unalienable rights are given to us all as individuals. They tell us what we may do for ourselves, and they are the embodiment of liberty. The so-called rights that government gives to some of us are parcelled out to select groups as classes. They tell us what one class of people may require another to do for them, and they are the very essence of slavery.”

It's cold outside

Published Sun, Dec 14 2008 10:39 AM

Well, it's cold for here anyway. The temperatures are in the twenties. There's a bit of snow on the ground. The streets near here are icy. I think we got maybe a half an inch yesterday.

I though the new roofing was supposed to be pewter grey not white!

I have to go to the store today... now where's that ice scraper?

We get snow here maybe once or twice a year. It snowed on Friday night, and a little yesterday. The skies are partly cloudy now but the sun is peeking through. Temperatures are supposed to drop into the teens for the next couple of days and then start warming up by Wednesday. But there's snow in the forecast for Wednesday too.

Thank God I can work remotely. I hate driving on ice.

"I hate driving on ice."

IMO, anyone who doesn't hate driving on ice (well, except in an isolated and otherwise unoccupied parking lot *heh* Can you say "super skidpad"? Multi-360s--wheee!) needs a brain transplant.

*heh* Day 2 for my Wonder Woman to have off from teaching. The residential and back roads are, if anything, slicker today than yesterday. Local guy who owns a lot of rentals in the area is doing more sanding than the city. Couple of guys in the back of a pickup...

I blame global warming. Oh wait. It's climate change now. In other words, the turn of the seasons.
