For those we lost, We will not forget 09/11/2001 “Our God given unalienable rights are given to us all as individuals. They tell us what we may do for ourselves, and they are the embodiment of liberty. The so-called rights that government gives to some of us are parcelled out to select groups as classes. They tell us what one class of people may require another to do for them, and they are the very essence of slavery.”

The weekend before last, Nikki and Sidney took off for the Aberdeen area. They actually ended up in Montesano. Anyway, they ended up not here, so I only get to see my granddaughter now and then.

This last weekend Betty, Zach, and I went over for a visit. We had to drive through Olympia...

The Washington State Capital Building

There were a few interesting things along the side of the road. For example, some really large sculptures of cattle...

Fake Cattle

Finally, just as the Chargers were about to upset the Colts (what a happy occasion that was!!!!) we arrived. Sidney was all business...

Sidney was all business

We drove into Westport, hoping for some really good fish and chips. Unfortunately we were disappointed. I think they roll up the sidewalks during the off season. We were able to find a place that was open, but the quality was poor. Ah well.

At least we got to see the granddaughter. She left us with a smile.
