For those we lost, We will not forget 09/11/2001 “Our God given unalienable rights are given to us all as individuals. They tell us what me may do for ourselves, and they are the embodiment of liberty. The so-called rights that government gives to some of us are parcelled out to select groups as classes. They tell us what one class of people may require another to do for them, and they are the very essence of slavery.”

The Devil's Churn

On Monday (Labor Day) before we left Florence, OR to return home, We took a trip up the Oregon coast to Cape Perpetua. This is one of the highest points on the Oregon coast, if not the highest.

In any case, from the top you can just see the Devil's Churn, an area where fissures in the rock have been widened a bit by the pounding surf. It's a really interesting place to see, with tide pools that have lots of interesting sea creatures at low tide, and a long, narrow chasm that is constantly filled with churning seawater.
