For those we lost, We will not forget 09/11/2001 “Our God given unalienable rights are given to us all as individuals. They tell us what we may do for ourselves, and they are the embodiment of liberty. The so-called rights that government gives to some of us are parcelled out to select groups as classes. They tell us what one class of people may require another to do for them, and they are the very essence of slavery.”

John and I finished transforming my 1979 Corvette into a racecar near the end of 2000. In October we finally made it out to the track. This beautiful 1953 Chevy was the first car I ever raced against in the 1979 Corvette.

Back then, our car's performance was considerably worse than it is today, even with the current problems. This 1953 Chevy wasn't running quite as quick either. Here's a 12.01 second pass. Pretty darned respectable for a car that's 54 years old!

My first car was the 4dor version of that 53 Chevy... and it was even green, too (though a 2-tone, with neither color being THAT green :-))
