“Our God given unalienable rights are given to us all as individuals. They tell us what we may do for ourselves, and they are the embodiment of liberty.
The so-called rights that government gives to some of us are parcelled out to select groups as classes. They tell us what one class of people may require another to do for them, and they are the very essence of slavery.”— Perri Nelson, February 9, 2010

The weather pages are currently down... again because I am using a third party service that has gone on the fritz. ![]()
I use Terraserver to look up location names by geographic coordinates, and geographic coordinates by location names. Currently they are having problems with their database connections. Since I rely on their service my weather pages are down.
The last time the weather pages were down was because the National Weather Service had bandwidth problems on their ndfdXML web services and had shut them down. Now it's the other service I use.
I've seen two or three hits on the weather pages per hour failing because of this problem. It looks like its time to work on a failover plan...
Update: The Terraserver database seems to be back online. The weather pages are once again functioning normally.
