Thirteen Random Photographs
- On January 7, 2004 we woke up to the aftermath of an ice storm (have you heard yet? Global warming is on the way out and global cooling is on the way back in. A tip of the hat to Leaning Straight Up.).

- Seattle has a rather interesting skyline. I took this picture during my cousin's wedding reception on board an Argosy cruise. This was on April 24, 2004.

- Don “The Snake” Prudhomme may not be racing anymore, but he's still actively involved in NHRA drag racing as a team owner. This picture was taken at the NHRA Northwest Nationals on July 25, 2004, just before Larry Dixon made a pass in his top fuel dragster.

- Not all professional drag racers are men. In fact, there are probably more women in NHRA drag racing than in all other major motorsports combined. This is Rhonda Hartman. The car in the background is her husband John Smith's car. They were competing against each other in 2004. This picture was also taken at the NHRA Northwest Nationals on July 25, 2004.

- A rather famous drag racer from the past is “Jungle Jim” Lieberman. A lot of fans will remember “Jungle Pam” Hardy, his famous starting line companion. This photo, also taken on July 25, 2004 is of the Jungle Jim tribute car in the staging area.

- Besides drag racing, I like to go out and enjoy nature at its finest. In May of 2005 we took a trip to a small park near Olympia. I thought this tree was rather cool.

- On the morning of July 1, 2005 I woke up to a rather unusual, high-pitched sound. Our cat, Hazel, had been pregnant, and she was giving birth, right next to our bed. The sound was the mewling of little kittens. We got a box together and some padding for her to have her litter in. In this picture Hazel is cleaning one of the kittens while our dog Snoopy stands guard.

- And here are the kittens some time later that morning.

- One of the kittens didn't survive.
Here's a shot of the four that did a month later.

- Some people have “pet rocks”. In August of 2005 we had the privilege of attending a picnic/party held by some of my wife's coworkers. There was a live band, and lots of fun. While we were there I took a picture of my “pet mountain”.

- On Citizenship Day in 2005 my wife and I went to Ocean Shores to celebrate our wedding anniversary (it's actually three days earlier, on the 14th of September). That evening, just after sunset, I took this picture.

- In February of 2006 a rare thing happened. The Seahawks went to the Superbowl. My wife and I love to travel to Las Vegas or someplace else for the Superbowl every year. In 2006 we went to Lincoln City Oregon to watch the game and have a party with friends. There was a terrific storm the night before that whipped up a froth from the ocean. This picture is of my brother in law Stan, standing in some of the left over foam from that storm.

- We finished out 2006 with a trip to Spokane to visit my brother and sister in law. While we were there it snowed. I took advantage of the opportunity before we drove back home for Christmas.

That's all for now. I'll share some more pictures another time.
