Well, it's back to work for me. I've had the last week off, and I've done a little work on the website. Stanford Matthews advised me to do some relaxing while I was off, and so I did. As a result I got about half of what I wanted to get done on the site done, but it was good advice.
Of the three main things I was planning to do, I accomplished two of them, and I'm about a third of the way complete with the other one. I didn't get anything done on the motorsports site, but there's no hurry there. I didn't even catalog the parts I want to sell, so having the e-commerce platform done wouldn't help much anyway.
I did get some blogging in, and I did do a few things I've been meaning to do for a while. I made a trip out to Tiger Mountain to watch the para-gliders. I've seen them in the distance as I drove home from work lots of times over the years, and I finally made the trip.
Another thing I managed to get done was to get the last of the slides I picked up from my mother in Tennessee transferred to CD. I burned copies of the first three CDs and sent them to her. I also posted every single picture, whether it was a good one or not in my photo galleries. There weren't nearly as many of them as I thought, and there's a lot more I'd like to have... now if I can only contrive some way to get them...
Probably the most important thing I did the entire week was to spend a healthy amount of time with my wife. She was home for the second half of the week, and she'll be home through Tuesday, then it's back to work for her too. We did a lot of relaxing, and watched the entire Lord of the Rings series, finishing with The Return of the King this afternoon...
All in all, not a bad week, but now it's back to work. At least until August that is. I've got a vacation planned in August and we're all going to Tennessee... well, except for Zach and Nikki. They'll be staying to watch the house.
