An “icon” of the left is abandoned by the left

Even attention whores can have an occasional moment of brilliance.
It amazes me that people who are sharp on the issues and can zero in like a laser beam on lies, misrepresentations, and political expediency when it comes to one party refuse to recognize it in their own party. Blind party loyalty is dangerous whatever side it occurs on. — Cindy Sheehan
Of course, it's a shame that the rest of her message has been such a train wreck. Regardless of how she's been treated by either the right or the left, Cindy Sheehan has no love for her country.
Good-bye America ...you are not the country that I love and I finally realized no matter how much I sacrifice, I can’t make you be that country unless you want it. — Cindy Sheehan
She's said that she failed her boy Casey. I would have to agree. She failed to recognize that he stood for something. She failed to understand that he believed not only in his country, but in the cause of freedom and liberty. Casey gave his life, not as she believed for a country that cares only about the next American Idol, but because he believed that freedom and liberty were something that everyone deserves.
Cindy Sheehan has finally found the wisdom to step back from her misguided activism. She has found out that the hard left is a fickle support base.
It's a shame she hasn't learned that there are some things worth fighting, and dying for. It's a shame that she hasn't learned why we honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country and the cause of liberty.
Casey Sheehan understood that. We should honor his sacrifice, and feel pity for his mother.
Hat tip to Right Voices.
Others who pity Cindy: Leaning Straight Up, Conservative Cat. And some who don't: stikNstein...has no mercy.
