Democrats can still ensure a U.S. Defeat in Iraq

The Democrats in Congress may not be able to muster the votes required to overturn a presidential veto of their ridiculous emergency pork package disguised as a war funding package, but they can still ensure the U.S.' defeat in Iraq. All they have to do is what they have proven to be so able to do since this Congress' session began: Nothing.
They won't be able to establish a time-table for withdrawal from Iraq. They had to buy the votes within their own party to manage that. In the Senate they had to rely on useful idiots like Sen. Hagel, and they still had just barely enough votes to pass their time-table for defeat.
The problem though is that operations in Iraq are expensive. Funds for those operations have to be authorized by the Congress. All they have to do is continue to produce unpalatable spending bills, or fail to produce a spending bill and the required funds will dry up.
Failing to produce. That sounds like our Democratic Congress. What exactly did they accomplish in their first 100 days?
Normally, it would be a good thing to have a Congress that accomplishes little. The less legislation produced by Congress the slower the pace of governmental intrusion into our lives. This time though, it seems that the Democrats can ensure the country's defeat by doing nothing.
The "so-called" conservatives (actually the wishy-washy moderates) that decided to "punish" the Republican party last November because of the pork and corruption in Congress should take a lesson from this. We've seen that the Democratic party can outspend the Republicans when it comes to pork, and that they promote the corrupt into positions of power.
It's truly a shame that their corruption and desire for pig-flesh have led their leadership into "buying" defeat for us. Their time-table for defeat belies their claims of support for our troops.
Many conservatives have said that the Democrats are trying to relive their "glory days" of the VietNam era. You know what I mean. The "glory days" when the media brought down a sitting Republican president. The "glory days" when by defunding the war they brought a bloody conflict to an end and ensured the brutality of the Communist regime in North VietNam could run rampant.
They forget that it was a Democratic president that got us into that war. They forget that they voted overwhelmingly to get us into this one.
Their failure to produce a decent funding package for the troops will make it plain to all of the American people. The Democratic party wants us to lose the war. They've been actively working to do everything they can to ensure our defeat.
Now all they have to do to get their way is... Nothing.
Elections matter. They have consequences that last for years, sometimes for decades. Through their ill advised attempt at sending a "message" to the Republicans, everyone that stayed home instead of going to the polls to vote, and everyone that voted in a so-called conservative Democrat instead of a Republican has ensured our nation's defeat.
I TOLD YOU we were going to get schooled.
