Some wizardly filmmaking

I don't know how many of you like the Harry Potter movies and books. My family and I really enjoy them. That's why I think this is a bit of good news.

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has signed up to play the boy wizard in the final two films in the hit series.

Producers Warner Bros told the BBC's Newsround the actor was "very much looking forward to starting filming" the sixth film in September.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is due out next year, with the seventh and final movie following that.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the fifth film to be based on JK Rowling's books, is out in July.

I've been waiting almost impatiently for the final book to be released. I've already got my pre-order in through Barnes and Noble. I've watched the trailers for the Order of the Phoenix, and it looks to be a fun movie. July almost can't get here soon enough.

The wait for the DVD is going to seem like it lasts forever.
