The "Plame Game" continues

This woman is an obvious liar, almost as bad as her husband...

WASHINGTON — Valerie Plame, the CIA operative at the heart of a political scandal, told Congress today that senior officials at the White House and State Department "carelessly and recklessly" blew her cover to discredit her diplomat-husband.

No mention of the fact that it was Richard Armitage that leaked her name. I wonder why? Must not fit her agenda.

Plame, whose 2003 outing triggered a federal investigation, said she always knew her identity "If our government cannot even protect my identity, future foreign agents who might consider working with the Central Intelligence Agency and providing needed intelligence would think twice," Plame said in response to a question.

She wasn't a "foreign agent". She had a desk job in Washington, D.C.

Her appearance was a moment of gripping political theater as Democrats questioned whether the Bush administration mishandled classified information by leaking her identity to reporters. No one has been charged with leaking her identity.

We KNOW who "leaked" her identity. It was Richard Armitage. He's come out and SAID SO. So has Bob Novak, the person it was "leaked" to. This is simply "political theater", as described in the article.

"It's not our job to determine criminal culpability, but it is out job to determine what went wrong and insist on accountability," Committee Chairman Henry Waxman, D-Calif., said at the outset of the hearing.

If you really want to determine what went wrong, ask Richard Armitage. This investigation is just a waste of money and yet another attempt to tar the administration with the appearance of wrongdoing, when NO CRIME WAS COMMITTED.

It's not about the evidence for you is it Mr. Waxman? It's all about the "seriousness of the charges".

The man who led the criminal investigation, Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald, was not on the witness list. He told lawmakers Wednesday that federal law prohibited him from offering his thoughts on the case.

The case is over. He found NOTHING. I seriously doubt that federal law prohibits him from offering his thoughts on a closed case. He had to invent a process crime to justify his spending of taxpayer money. He KNEW who "leaked" within a couple of weeks of beginning his so-called investigation. He chose not to indict Mr. Armitage. There can only be one reason - No crime was committed.

Plame said she had no role in sending her husband on a CIA fact-finding trip to Niger. Wilson said in a newspaper column that his trip debunked the administration's prewar intelligence that Iraq was seeking to buy uranium from Africa.

"I did not recommend him. I did not suggest him. There was no nepotism involved. I did not have the authority," she said.

This is a flat out LIE. So is the claim that Mr. Wilson's trip debunked any prewar intelligence that Iraq was seeking to buy uranium from Africa. The Senate Intelligence committee found that his trip bolstered the pre-war intelligence.

How long do we have to put up with these lies from Democrats and liberal political hacks and the mass media? We know they are lies.

Isn't it interesting that this so-called congressional investigation isn't seeking testimony from anyone in the administration or state department? If this was a real investigation, don't you think they'd want to hear from all sides involved in the matter?

Sadly the "Plame Game" will end up being "resolved" the same way "global warming" has been "resolved". By consensus, and without regard to the facts.
