Cascading Style Sheets - What a cool thing

I really like using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). WIth a little thought to how you structure your (X)HTML and how you use CSS you can make some pretty amazing changes to the way your website looks.
Browser support for CSS has gotten better over the years too. It's now possible to use semantic markup instead of structural markup for almost everything on a website, and let CSS deal with layout issues.
It wasn't always this way. A lot of websites still use HTML tables to manage the layout. That makes re-arranging the elements of the layout a bit difficult, because you have to alter the HTML code to move things around.
Anyway, I was playing around with the CSS for this site a bit last night, and managed to fix a few more bugs, so it's cleaner than it was. Some of you might have noticed that the side-bar has switched sides. That was done entirely with CSS, and not with changes to the HTML markup. Separating content from design is the goal here.
If you'd like to see some examples of the really big changes you can make to the look of a site using properly designed CSS, check out the CSS Zen Garden. If you haven't seen this type of thing before I think you'll be amazed. If you have, I think it serves as a powerful reminder of what can be done.
While you're at it, tell me what you think about the placement of the side-bar. Should it stay on the left or should it go back to the right? How about other comments on the site layout?
