Minor modifications

Wednesday, I posted about spam and ham, and the things that I wanted to do to handle it better. Today I took the time to update the site code so that when exceptions are thrown in the trackback and comment handler the email I receive allows me to re-post the trackback or comment and update AKismet, rather than forcing me to use a tool like SQL Query Analyzer or SQL Enterprise Manager to update the database.

I've published the code changes to the site, and so far things seem to be working normally. If you encounter unusual problems with the site, please let me know by sending me mail at perri "at" perrinelson "dot" com.


While I was at it, I also updated the fall theme a little. Hopefully now hyperlinks will be easier to see, and posts will have a little more eye appeal. I tried to make the background image subdued enough that you can still easily read things, but I didn't really like the drab solid brown look.
