Site outage...

Sometime between 6:00AM PDT and 7:00AM PDT this morning my site was hacked. Needless to say I find this a bit disconcerting. The main page of the site was modified with a script that broke the display of the page so visitors were receiving the standard error message page I put up. Visitors to "inner" site pages were not affected.

I apologize for the inconvenience. I've restored the main page. There will be another site outage sometime this morning while I update passwords and other information for the site. I suspect that that may have been the problem since it's been about six months since I did that for the primary account on the site.

[Update: The password change has taken place. From the error messages that my site sends me when failures happen, I caught one spammer and one legitimate visitor. Apologies to the legitimate visitor and may the spammer rot.]
